The premise

We don’t experience the world. We experience reality through our State. You’re always in a State — learn to change it.

STATE = ƒ( BODY · MIND · BREATH ) × NERVOUS SYSTEM

Carolina

The program promise

Most high performers train their body and their mind — but never their State.

01

Detect

Read the State you're in. Interoception — sensing the body's internal signals — is the trainable skill everything else depends on: you can't change what you can't feel.

02

Classify

Name it. A working taxonomy of States turns “I feel off” into a precise read — and a precise read into the right next move.

03

Intervene

Deploy the matched protocol: up- or down-regulate through the breath, the body, or the environment — chosen for the State you're actually in, not a one-size ritual.

04

Verify

Measure the shift. HRV and pre/post assessment — you're the scientist, tracking your progress.

The curriculum

Six weeks of short daily lessons and practice.

Training the skill of State Regulation.

WK 01

Become State Aware

  • Understand what a “State” is and why you’re always in one
  • Learn interoception and proprioception — reading your internal and physical signals
  • Map your State baseline, your triggers, and your reactive patterns
  • Build metacognitive awareness — decentering so you observe your State instead of being run by it
WK 02

Regulate Your State

  • Learn to down-regulate on demand — engage the parasympathetic brake to drop out of overdrive
  • Master up-regulation — drive sympathetic activation to sharpen and energize, without stimulants
  • Understand which tools shift your State fast, and when to use each
  • Build the ability to recover and return to baseline after intense load
↓ Down-regulate↑ Up-regulate
WK 03

Expand Your State Range

  • Understand your “Window of Tolerance” — the range between hyperarousal and hypoarousal where you function best
  • Discover how to widen that window and build nervous system resilience
  • Develop the ability to return to baseline after activation
  • Track your autonomic flexibility with heart rate variability (HRV)
WK 04

Release Active Charge

  • Understand why stored stress can’t be thought away — it’s held as physical charge in the body
  • Learn to complete the stress cycle — discharging that charge through the body, not the mind
  • Discover the nervous system’s built-in mechanisms for releasing stored activation
  • Experience full autonomic discharge — and the reset that follows
WK 05

Debug Your Emotions

  • Distinguish an emotion from a raw body sensation
  • Trace the automatic story running underneath your reactions
  • Explore reframing — rewriting the code that drives the feeling
  • Practice feeling and moving through stuck emotions
WK 06

Anchor Your New Baseline State

  • Consolidate your regulated State into a set-point baseline
  • Understand co-regulation — how your surroundings shape your nervous system
  • Learn to use neuroception — your system’s read of safety — to hold your baseline
  • Integrate the full protocol into a daily practice

Six weeks of short daily lessons and practice — training the skill of State Regulation.

Before I'd often feel a bit slow, sluggish in the morning, a bit of brain fog, not activated, just trying to make it through the day. But what the State Change Mastery course has taught me is the skills to be able to enter a different state, a more activated state whenever I want.

Sometimes you can have all the right insights intellectually, but if you're in the wrong state, you still can't access them. And when you change your state, something different becomes possible. You can start to see some things differently. You can access emotions differently, and you can make different decisions.

The course

How the course works

Six weeks to train the five skills.

What you learn

State Shifts
The techniques you learn: short, evidence-based practices that shift your State. 40+ in total, a few new ones every week.
Shift Cards
Every State Shift has its own card: what it's for, when to use it, how to do it, and an audio or video to follow.
The State Change Protocol
Your State Shifts in a sequence, practiced 5–10 minutes a day inside your normal day.

How you learn

A short audio or video each day
5–10 minutes. Easy to listen to on a walk or a commute.
Practice Circle
Every Sunday at 10 AM Central (8 AM Pacific), we meet to practice the State Shifts together and find which ones work best for you. It's optional: join when you can.
Measure your progress
Take the assessment on day one and again at the end to see what changed. If you wear an Apple Watch or Oura Ring, you can track your HRV too.

The State Change Mastery Course wasn't just another personal development experience or course that I did. What it did was give me a practical way to recognize where I am, shift my state, and access a different version of myself when I need it. The techniques are understandable and so easy to incorporate.

A letter from Roop

Hi, I’m Roop.

My journey into State Change Mastery started with growing up in a dysfunctional household marked by domestic violence. After my mother died following four and a half months in the Burn ICU in 2007, everything shifted. I became obsessed with understanding my own State — mind, body and breath — how it shaped everything.

In the years since, I’ve invested thousands of dollars and nearly two decades exploring my nervous system — 10-day silent meditation retreats, learning three forms of yoga, breathwork, intense psychedelic ceremonies, clinical hypnosis training — studying 19+ modalities across neuroscience and ancient practices. Alongside this inner journey, I spent 20 years in the tech and corporate world: in leadership roles, advising startups, working with Fortune 1000 companies, and mentoring founders and executives navigating intensity and high-stakes decision-making. I understand how State directly impacts decision-making and performance.

This training is my attempt to distill the essence of what I’ve learned and curate the most effective evidence-based practices that I’ve encountered. I truly hope this will support you in reclaiming agency over your State, building capacity for performance, and finding joy in your personal life.

Interviews with Roop

Working with Roop

He uses his methods in his own life. He doesn't pretend to be some flawless guru. I wouldn't be able to accept guidance for someone who claims that. And watching the wins he racks up from applying his methods in his own life is motivational.

What really stood out to me about Roop's approach was that he doesn't get stuck in one way of working. He weaves together different methodologies and techniques, incorporates your body, your breath, your emotions, and your thoughts to help you actually process what's happening rather than just think your way through it.

I'm very glad he's my coach. I haven't found anyone who is this uniquely effective.

Roop's teaching style is very experiential. He won't spoon feed you. And that's sometimes a little bit tough in the beginning, because he doesn't always solve your problem for you. But his style is he would ask the right questions to ignite the right insight that comes from within you. And I think that's actually quite rare these days. And I believe that's sign of a great teacher.

He has this uncanny ability to get past the hesitation and the stories we tell ourselves and to help you drop into what's actually true for you. And that's where the real work begins at any level of transformation.

Origins

Many of the practices taught in this course have their origins in Eastern modalities — developed, practiced and taught over centuries. They were codified in the language of their day, learned experientially, and passed down through the apprenticeship model — teacher to student. The first credit belongs to those early explorers and teachers.

In the last forty years, science and scientists have taken an interest in these subjects. Measurement instruments have vastly improved, scientific methods have sharpened, and what was once transmitted through direct experience has been measured, replicated and published. That work has brought these practices into wider adoption and helped us describe them in today’s language. The second credit belongs to those researchers.

My need for personal transformation led me on a journey to seek, learn and practice these techniques. My education in the scientific method led me to this research. What is taught here, as a set of tools in a toolkit, is my attempt to curate what proves out in both disciplines — in direct personal practice and in the literature.

No matter how I feel in the moment, instead of reacting, I regulate.

A final word

After a State change, the question is no longer “what should I do?” It becomes “who am I becoming?”

— Roop Singh

An invaluable skill for anyone, especially if you're someone who's successful or under pressure or simply know that there's another level of yourself that you just haven't fully been able to access.
